Tell me a Story by Sarah Slater
I opened a trunk last night
A floating picture inside.
My grandfather told me a
story.
I looked in his eyes and blew
him a kiss.
Tell me a story of two birds
kissing and,
fall in love.
I want you to tell me a story
at the beach with a bottle of beer.
Tell me a story grandfather.
The picture in the trunk
followed me.
And tell me of naked ladies
singing Maw
of a dancing dog
Tell me all the stories- make
love to me.
Tell me the story with liquor
of me and you.
Mom-tell me a story.
Dad-tell me of two mice
kissing.
One day I went to the trunk.
I found a picture of a fruit
bowl that you grandpa were holding
Your hand felt cold
Grandpa-what’s it like to be
old?
you and grandma
I love you
Grandfather, give me the book
“What’s love got to do with it”.
Tell me the story of a
beautiful place in heaven where you die and
fall in love
Grandfather-tell me a story
of me and you
