Our Program
We follow a formal core curriculum:

- Workshops range from 12 weeks to one year with an average of two classes per week..
- All classes are facilitated by a lead songwriting teacher and a student teacher to assist with small group work.
- In conclusion, students record a professional compilation CD.
- Students present three final collaborative performances in their respective community and school centers.

High-risk youth improve their literacy rates in Lyric House workshops up to 40% more effectively than in traditional school literacy programs.
After completing Lyric House Workshops, 35% of our high school and young adult students voluntarily enroll in counseling, job training and life skills programs through our partner organizations.
